Soil Nutrient CEC Visualization
Interactive demonstration of how Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) affects nutrient holding in soil
About This Visualization
This interactive tool demonstrates how soil with different Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) values can hold varying amounts of nutrients. The colored balls represent different macro and micro nutrients - larger balls indicate nutrients needed in higher quantities (like Calcium), while smaller balls represent micronutrients (like Zinc and Copper).
Use the sliders to adjust the CEC values and observe how the nutrient levels change. Notice the horizontal CEC indicator line that rises and falls with the nutrient level.
